Everything you need to qualify for a legal truck driver job in Europe — no illegal work, no shortcuts.
Zimbabwe: keep preparing. Collecting your documents takes several months, so start now. When applications from Zimbabwe can move forward again, you will be ready straight away.
We share every update in our WhatsApp community.
Code 95 (the Driver CPC) is a professional qualification required to drive trucks commercially in the EU. You don't need to have it before you apply — many drivers obtain it as part of the process. Ask us after a webinar and we'll explain whether and how we help you get it for your specific case.
Many drivers rule themselves out without even asking, because they imagine the requirements are stricter than they are. So, clearly: you do not need European citizenship. You do not need a European driving licence — you start with your own Code 14 (EC). You do not need to speak Lithuanian. You do not need Code 95 in advance — most drivers get it during the process. You do not need a degree or extra certificates. There is no age limit either — and if you are over 60, write to us before you start spending money and we will check with the employer. The application and the webinar cost you nothing — you only pay for your own documents, and you can see exactly what each one costs in the document checklist.
The work permit is issued by the Lithuanian state, not by the employer. The employer has to prove that you are a qualified driver, and the migration office verifies it. So every point on the list is not our whim — it is a document that somebody reads and checks. That is exactly why we take no shortcuts: a skipped point means a rejected application, not a faster route.
Better to know this today than after three months and several thousand rand. Less than one year of real truck experience — not a van, not a bus, a truck. A licence that expires soon: it must stay valid through the whole process and for at least a few months after you arrive. A criminal record — the police clearance goes to both the employer and the migration office, and there is no way around it. And wanting it “somehow fast” — the process takes months, not weeks.
Do not wait until you have collected every document. Start with the police clearance — it takes the longest and it decides how quickly everything else moves. The full list with costs and timelines is in the document checklist, and the whole road from the first step to arrival is on the Steps page.
